   Meet your After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Explore the park's baobab-dotted landscapes and search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your wildlife adventure.

   In the late afternoon, drive to your mid-range lodge for overnight and dinner

   Karatu to Serengeti National Park

   After an early breakfast, travel towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the scenic highlands before entering the vast Serengeti plains.

   After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest. Your guide will select suitable wildlife-viewing areas according to the season and recent animal movements.

   Dinner and overnight at a mid-range tented camp or lodge in the Serengeti.

   Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

   Begin with an early morning game drive when wildlife may be active. After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti, with opportunities to see predators and large herds of grazing animals.

   Enjoy lunch before driving towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, take in the changing scenery from open grasslands to the cooler highlands.

   Arrive at your lodge or tented camp, relax and enjoy dinner before the next day's crater safari.

   Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

   After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on its wildlife-rich floor. Look out for buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elephants, hippos, lions and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.

   Enjoy a picnic lunch during the excursion. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on road conditions and the group's schedule.

Getting There

• Starts and ends in Arusha.
• Fly to and from Arusha Airport (ARK).
• A transfer from and back to the airport can be arranged for an extra cost.
• Extra nights before or after the trip can be arranged for an extra cost.
• Arrival Note Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you can arrange an airport transfer to Arusha at an additional cost unless included in your package. We recommend arriving at least one day before the safari starts to allow time to rest and prepare for your adventure. On the final day, you will return to Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening after your Ngorongoro Crater safari. We recommend booking your departure flight for the following day or allowing sufficient time for your airport transfer. Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost unless included in your package.
