Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Africa Travel Bookings platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
Africa Travel Bookings is a pan-African travel marketplace that connects travelers with verified tour operators, lodges, and experience providers across all 54 African countries. We facilitate discovery and reservation of travel experiences.
We are an intermediary, not the tour provider. The travel services you book are supplied, operated, and contracted by the tour operator listed on the package, not by Africa Travel Bookings. We pass your quote request to that operator; the trip itself is quoted, paid for and delivered under a contract between you and the operator. We take no payment from travellers, do not hold traveller funds, and do not act as a travel agent, tour operator, or insurer.
To book travel experiences, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.
Important
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. Providing false information may result in account suspension.
A listing on the Platform is an invitation to ask its operator for a quote. Guide prices are set by the tour operator and shown in USD for planning; the price you pay is the one in the quote you accept, in the currency that quote states.
You pay the operator, not the Platform
- Africa Travel Bookings charges travellers nothing. There is no booking fee, no deposit and no commission taken from a traveller. Requesting a quote is free and does not commit you to booking.
- The trip price is paid directly to the tour operator on their own terms and schedule, through whatever means the operator offers. Africa Travel Bookings does not collect, hold, process, or refund this money, and is not a party to that payment.
The Platform never sees your payment card details. The only charges Africa Travel Bookings makes are to tour operators for their subscription to the operator back office and for enquiry unlocks, which are governed by the Operator Agreement and shown on the pricing page.
Because the Platform holds no traveller money, cancellation and refund are matters between you and your operator:
Money paid to the operator
Governed entirely by the cancellation terms in the quote you accepted. Ask for those terms in writing before you pay. Africa Travel Bookings never holds these funds and therefore cannot refund or arbitrate them.
What the Platform does
If an operator cancels, goes quiet, or does not return what they owe under their own terms, tell us. We chase them, help you find another operator on the Platform for a comparable trip where a paid trip cannot go ahead, and suspend operators who do this repeatedly.

Tour operators listed on the Platform are independent service providers. Africa Travel Bookings verifies operators through a KYC (Know Your Customer) process but does not guarantee the quality of any individual experience. Reviews from verified travelers help you make informed decisions.
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
- Submit fraudulent reviews or ratings
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
All content, trademarks, and data on the Platform are the property of Africa Travel Bookings or its content suppliers. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
Africa Travel Bookings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any travel experience booked through it. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific booking in question.
In the event of a dispute with a tour operator, Africa Travel Bookings will mediate in good faith. If resolution is not possible, disputes will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email.
