   Enjoy a scenic 2.5–3 hour drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park with a professional driver-guide. The route takes you through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside and rural villages before arriving at the park’s southern gate, where your safari adventure begins. Search for elephants, lions, antelopes among others.

   DAY 2: TRANSFER TO LAKE MULEHE

   After breakfast, embark on a 6-7 hour scenic cross-border journey northwards into southwestern Uganda. The drive takes you through Rwanda’s lush countryside and vibrant towns like Kayonza and Musanze, offering beautiful views of terraced hills, volcanoes, and local life along the way.

   Once in Uganda, the landscape transitions to the dramatic Virunga ranges and fertile highlands of Kisoro District.

   The journey ends at the serene Lake Mulehe, a hidden gem near Kisoro town, known for its peaceful waters, volcano views, and proximity to gorilla trekking points in Mgahinga and Bwindi.

   DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING & BOAT CRUISE ON LAKE GEORGE

   After an early breakfast, head into the park for a pre-chimpanzee trekking briefing. Afterwards, walk down the forest paths with a ranger in search for these chimpanzees. You’ll gain an insight into the conservation efforts and how visits such as yours are crucial to the conservation efforts of chimpanzees in the wild.

   Once found, spend an hour with them as you observe their behavior. Return to the lodge for a hot lunch.

   Thereafter, head out for a peaceful 1–1.5 hour cruise on Lake George. Spot hippos, traditional fishermen, and a variety of birdlife, including papyrus specialists. Ideal for birders and travelers seeking a quiet, scenic experience off the beaten path.

   DAY 7: EXPERIENTIAL GAME DRIVE

   After breakfast, enjoy this experience that offers behind-the-scenes insights into wildlife monitoring, tracking, and conservation efforts. You’ll accompany a ranger as they use radio telemetry to track lions, leopards, or hyenas, and learn how the Uganda Wildlife Authority gathers data on animal movement, health, and behavior.

   This off-the-beaten-track drive often ventures into restricted research zones, increasing your chances of close encounters with elusive predators and rare species. Return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter spend the rest of the day at leisure.

   After breakfast, we’ll take a scenic 1-hour flight from Queen Elizabeth National Park to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival at Pakuba Airstrip, embark on a 2.5–3 hour game drive through the park, where you can spot giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, buffalos among others.

    After breakfast, we’ll drive to the top of Murchison Falls. The sight of the water crashing through the rocks is awe-inspiring, and the sound is deafening, adding to the grandeur of the scene.

    From the top, you’ll have panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes, including the river, cliffs, and lush parkland. Afterwards, embark on a 2 hours drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Arrive in time for lunch.
