This carefully designed journey takes you from Nairobi to the wildlife-rich Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the rugged wilderness of Samburu National Reserve, the scenic Aberdare highlands, Lake Nakuru National Park, and finally to the legendary Maasai Mara.Your safari begins at Ol Pejeta Conservancy, renowned for its exceptional wildlife and conservation efforts, before continuing north to Samburu, home to striking landscapes and unique wildlife species found in Kenya’s northern region. Enjoy a full day of game viewing before travelling through the Aberdare highlands, where the forested environment offers a completely different safari experience.The journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its scenic beauty, birdlife and diverse wildlife, before heading to the magnificent Maasai Mara.    Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel north through the scenic central Kenyan highlands towards Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a renowned wildlife and conservation destination near Nanyuki. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at Maisha Sweetwaters, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring the conservancy.

   Ol Pejeta offers excellent opportunities to encounter wildlife including rhinos, elephants, lions, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and other plains game. The conservancy is also well known for its important rhino conservation and wildlife protection initiatives.

   Return to Maisha Sweetwaters in the evening for dinner and relaxation, enjoying the peaceful surroundings before your safari adventure continues the following day.

   After lunch, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the rugged and beautiful Samburu landscape along the Ewaso Nyiro River as you search for wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes and the famous Samburu Special Five — Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Somali ostrich and Beisa oryx.

   Enjoy the spectacular scenery and excellent opportunities for wildlife photography before returning to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

   Samburu to Aberdares National Reserve

   After lunch, set out for an exciting afternoon game drive through Aberdare National Park, exploring its lush forests, moorlands and scenic valleys. Keep watch for elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, elands and other wildlife that inhabit this beautiful highland ecosystem. The park is also home to a variety of bird species and, with some luck, you may spot elusive predators such as leopard.

   As the afternoon progresses, enjoy the cool mountain air and spectacular scenery before returning to your lodge or camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

   After lunch, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive in the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Explore the open savannah plains in search of Africa’s iconic wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest.

   As the afternoon cools, follow the wildlife activity across the vast grasslands and along the Mara River, where you may encounter hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography as the sun begins to set over the spectacular Mara landscape, before returning to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

   After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive through the spectacular Maasai Mara National Reserve, carrying a packed lunch for a full day of wildlife exploration. Drive across the vast savannah plains in search of the Mara’s incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous antelope species.

   Explore different areas of the reserve, with opportunities to visit the Mara River, famous for its hippos and crocodiles, and to witness the rich birdlife and beautiful landscapes of the Mara ecosystem. Your experienced driver-guide will follow wildlife sightings and select suitable viewing areas, giving you excellent opportunities for photography and memorable encounters with Kenya’s wildlife.

   Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing the afternoon game drive. Later, return to your lodge or camp as the day comes to an end, carrying with you unforgettable memories of a full day in the Maasai Mara.

   Enjoy the changing landscapes as you leave the savannah plains behind and gradually approach Kenya’s capital city. The journey provides a glimpse into everyday life in rural Kenya and offers opportunities for memorable photographs along the way.

   Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your memorable Maasai Mara safari adventure.
