Overview

Six days is enough to cover Kenya’s three signature parks properly, and this group joining safari does exactly that. You start with two nights in the Masai Mara and a full day of game viewing across its rolling grassland, move on to Lake Nakuru National Park for black and white rhino and the birdlife of the lake shore, then finish with two nights in Amboseli.Amboseli is the classic image of Kenya: large elephant herds crossing open swamp with Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them, best seen at dawn before the cloud builds. Sharing the vehicle and guide keeps the price accessible, while park entrance fees, full board accommodation, all meals on safari and mineral water are all included.

   This is a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara, leaving camp with packed lunches to spend as much time as possible on the reserve’s grassy plains. The Mara’s excellent track network means close-range sightings are the norm, and you’ll break for lunch at the Hippo Pool, watching for hippos and crocs. Return to the lodge for dinner in the evening; a sunrise balloon ride can be booked separately.

   After breakfast, an optional cultural visit to a Maasai village is available at an additional cost. From there, continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge or hotel.

   Lake Nakuru National Park- Amboseli

   After an early breakfast, proceed into Lake Nakuru National Park, well known for the many different bird species recorded here and as a home to both the black and the white rhinoceros. The park was established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to colobus monkeys, leopards, giraffes and a variety of plains antelope. Later, with your lunch on the way, depart for Amboseli, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at the Lodge or camp.

   After breakfast you will be picked up by your guide with your packed lunches and proceed for a full day game drive in this park, which contains swamp grounds where elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen, and Mount Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. Return to the Lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

   Amboseli- Nairobi

   Check out after breakfast and begin the drive back to Nairobi, with Mount Kilimanjaro often visible on clear mornings as you leave Amboseli behind. Lunch is taken en route, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
