4 Days Kenya Safari

Overview

This four day group joining safari pairs Kenya’s best big cat country with its best rhino country. Two nights in the Masai Mara give you a full day of game viewing across the open savannah, with lion, cheetah and leopard the headline sightings and enormous herds of plains game filling the grassland in between.You then cross to Lake Nakuru National Park, a fenced sanctuary established to protect endangered species and now one of the most reliable places in East Africa to see both black and white rhino, alongside Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck and the birdlife the lake is famous for. Park entrance fees, full board accommodation, all meals on safari and mineral water are included, and you share the vehicle and guide with other travellers to keep the cost down.

   Day 1

   Nairobi- Masai Mara

   This morning begins with pickup at the airport or your hotel, followed by breakfast and a full briefing from your guide on what to expect over the coming days. You’ll then depart for the Masai Mara, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and for lunch in Narok en route. Arrival at the reserve is followed directly by a game drive before dinner and your first overnight in the bush.

   Day 2

   Masai Mara Full Day

   A full day is set aside for game viewing across the Masai Mara’s open grassland, departing camp with picnic lunches for maximum time in the reserve. The extensive network of tracks makes for outstanding close-range sightings, and lunch is enjoyed at the Hippo Pool while watching for hippos and crocodiles. You return to the lodge in the evening for dinner. Hot air balloon flights over the Mara at sunrise are available on request.

   Day 3

   Masai Mara-Masai village-Lake Nakuru

   After breakfast your guide will pick you up and proceed to the Maasai Village for a cultural visit, at an extra cost paid direct. You then depart the Mara region for Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch enroute, enjoying scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha from the main highway. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge or Hotel.

   Lake Nakuru- Nairobi

   After breakfast depart for a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Later drive to Nairobi with lunch enroute, arriving in the evening. You will be transferred to your hotel or to the airport to catch your flight.
